I'm Saad, a passionate baseball follower, and this site is my love letter to the Torpedo Bat – the revolutionary wood bat design that's rewriting how we think about power, contact, and swing control.
Invented by physics PhD Aaron Leanhardt (shoutout to the Marlins’ field coordinator turned bat legend), the Torpedo moves mass from the useless end-tip “garbage zone” straight into the heart of the sweet spot. Result? Quicker swings, bigger effective hitting surface, and – as the 2025 Yankees proved – absolute bombs.
I started following the hype after that insane Yankees opening series, where the bats helped tie MLB records for home runs. Since then, I’ve been hooked: reading every Fangraphs physics breakdown, watching Baseball Bat Bros reviews, tracking who’s switching (Volpe, Chisholm, Wells, Goldschmidt…), and geeking out over brands like Louisville Slugger TPD1, Victus ALT13 Torpedo, and Tucci’s extended-barrel versions.
